Disney+ and Hulu in October 2026: Which Titles Premiere, and Where
Disney's official October 2026 schedule for Disney+ and Hulu gives a date for almost every entry and labels each one Disney+ only, Hulu only or both. The month mixes a handful of anchor premieres with a large Hulu catalogue drop, and it includes no leaving list.

The official October schedule and its three labels
Disney published its official "Next on Disney+ and Hulu" listing for October on September 16, 2026. It is a programming schedule rather than a marketing announcement. Nearly every entry carries a date, and most carry one of three service labels: "Disney+ and Hulu" for titles arriving on both, "Disney+" for titles arriving only on Disney+, and "Hulu" for titles arriving only on Hulu. The label decides where a title appears and separates a premiere from a catalogue addition.
Premieres that carry a fixed date
October 1 has the most entries. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse+ returns for a second season on Disney+, Scrubs opens season 2 with a two-episode premiere and Shark Tank starts season 18 the same way, both on Hulu through ABC. FX's American Horror Story: 13 lands three episodes at 9pm PT as a Hulu Original.
October 2 brings two premieres that drop a full season at once: Adventure Time: Side Quests season 2 and Coven Academy season 1 arrive on Disney+ and Hulu, while Pupstruction season 3 premieres on Disney+ and Tokyo Revengers: War of the Three Titans Arc starts as a Hulu Original. Africa Earth's Wild Home season 1 follows on October 3 with all episodes on both services.
The rest of the list stays specific. Between Steps season 1 premieres October 5. Reasonable Doubt season 4 opens with three episodes on October 6. October 7 brings Merry Berry Love season 1, Surviving Alaska: Women of the Wild season 1 and Vampirina: Teenage Vampire season 2, plus the Hulu Original Jamie Foxx: Take Care of Yourself. Abbott Elementary returns for season 6 on October 8, Benefits with Friends season 2 arrives October 9, Mission: Yozakura Family season 2 part 2 starts October 11, and Clown Panic premieres October 12 as a Hulu Original.
Marvel Television's VisionQuest premieres on Disney+ on October 14, the same day FX's The Lowdown returns for season 2 with two episodes and Megastorm season 1 arrives on both services. October 16 puts three ABC premieres on Hulu in one night, 9-1-1 season 10, 9-1-1: Nashville season 2 and Grey's Anatomy season 23, alongside KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS, which lands on Disney+ and Hulu.
Late October has fewer premieres but keeps its dates: Phony season 1 on October 20 and The Mob on October 26, both Hulu Originals, then full-season anime drops of Classroom of Elite and The God of High School on October 27.
Where the Hulu label actually points
The labels produce some pairings that look inconsistent until you check them. Vampirina: Teenage Vampire season 2 is listed as Disney+ only, 9-1-1 season 10 as Hulu only, and Coven Academy, whose trailer Disney released in September, as both.
Disney's own description of the services explains part of it. The company calls Hulu the general entertainment brand outside the United States, and says US bundle subscribers can stream Hulu and ESPN content directly inside the Disney+ app. The "Hulu" label in this listing is therefore a statement about the US service rather than a promise about every market.
Halloween specials, livestreams and library films
Seasonal programming is dated as well. On October 7, Disney+ gets Halloween special episodes of Big City Greens season 5, Kiff and Phineas and Ferb. Hulu's October library additions lean the same way, with Hereditary and Midsommar on October 3 and the five Hunger Games films on October 14.
The October 1 catalogue drop on Hulu is the largest single group in the listing. It includes Barbarian, Die Hard, Die Hard 2, Die Hard with a Vengeance, Live Free or Die Hard, Edward Scissorhands, Ghostbusters, Ghostbusters II, Ghostbusters: Answer the Call, Grown Ups, Grown Ups 2, Hotel Transylvania, Hotel Transylvania 2, all three Night at the Museum films, Soulm8te, Surf's Up and Surf's Up 2: WaveMania. The Substance follows on October 2, Hokum on October 10, Companion and Wolf Man on October 18, Last Breath on October 25 and Apollo Has Fallen on October 26.
Live events are dated too. The Austin City Limits Music Festival 2026 streams on Disney+ and Hulu across October 2, 3 and 4. Dancing with the Stars season 35 streams live on Disney+ at 8pm ET on October 6, 13, 20 and 27, and The Banana Bowl streams live on Disney+ on October 10 at 8pm ET.
What the schedule never says
The schedule is precise about arrivals and silent about departures. No leaving list appears anywhere in the October post, so nothing in it tells a subscriber which titles are about to disappear.
Family Guy: Happy Hell-o-ween sits under a "Coming in October" heading with no date attached. Many entries are labelled "New Episode" rather than "Premiere," which is not the same as a new season, and the films added to Hulu are identified by their release year in brackets rather than by the word premiere. The times that do appear are given in ET or PT, a US convention.

Playlists landed the day before
A separate Disney announcement on September 15 introduced Playlists, a feature that gathers themed collections of episodes and movies into continuous playback with pause, skip, rewind and fast-forward controls. Disney says the collections are curated by genre, franchise, character or mood, with examples including Action and Adventure Movies, Romantic Comedies, Pixar Movies, Mickey and Friends, Bluey and Modern Family. Playback shuffles automatically, seasonal collections are planned including Halloween, and the feature began rolling out globally to all subscribers on September 15.
Disney has not published a complete list of available playlists, and the announcement sets out no device support or plan restrictions.
Three checks before you plan a night
For a US subscriber, three checks cover most of the list. Read the label to see whether a title is on Disney+, on Hulu, or on both. Read whether the entry says "Premiere," "New Episode" or a bare year in brackets. Treat the dates as arrivals only, because the listing does not track removals.
