What Disney+ will carry on February 14

Disney+ will livestream Super Bowl LXI on Sunday, February 14, 2027. Disney+ and ESPN announced the plan with the NFL on October 7, 2026, and the stream is the traditional game presentation that airs on ESPN and ABC, which is ESPN's first Super Bowl production. Joe Buck, Troy Aikman, Lisa Salters and Laura Rutledge call the game.

Subscribers in the United States also get the Spanish-language telecast on ESPN Deportes as part of the same access.

Why U.S. subscribers do not need ESPN Unlimited

In the United States, all Disney+ subscribers are covered by the announcement. The release states that all Disney+ subscribers in the United States can stream the traditional game presentation, and it does not attach that access to ESPN's standalone subscription or to a sports add-on.

That matters because ESPN also sells its own direct subscription. The same release describes ESPN Unlimited on the ESPN app as the route to more than 47,000 live events a year, on-demand replays and studio shows, which is a separate purchase from a Disney+ plan.

The release also describes how ESPN content reaches the Disney+ app today. It says Disney+ is sold either as a standalone service or as part of bundles in the United States, and that bundle subscribers can stream Hulu and ESPN content directly in the Disney+ app. The Super Bowl sentence in the same release is wider than that arrangement, because it names all United States Disney+ subscribers rather than bundle subscribers only.

Fifty-five markets on Disney+ and 130 on ESPN linear

Outside the United States, Disney+ will carry ESPN's Super Bowl in more than 55 international markets. The release names Spanish-speaking Latin America, Brazil, the Caribbean, South Africa, and Australia and New Zealand, and it does not publish the rest of the list, so readers outside those regions cannot confirm their own market from this announcement.

ESPN's linear platforms will carry the game in more than 130 countries and territories. The two figures describe different distribution paths: Disney+ streaming in 55-plus markets, ESPN's television networks in 130-plus.

Two symbolic distribution routes: a generic streaming screen reaches one cluster of lights, while an unbranded broadcast antenna reaches a broader field.
Concept diagram of the official figures: Disney+ in more than 55 international markets and ESPN linear in more than 130 countries and territories. Markers are symbolic, not exact counts or geographic coverage.

Two Monday Night Football games before the Super Bowl

The October 7 announcement also names two Monday Night Football regular-season games for Disney+ in the lead-up to the Super Bowl. The first is Dallas Cowboys at Philadelphia Eagles on Monday, October 26, which is Week 7. That announcement did not name the second game or give a country-by-country availability list for these games.

Neither game moves. Both continue to air as scheduled on ESPN, ABC and ESPN Deportes, and Disney+ carries the English and Spanish broadcasts.

How the Super Bowl fits the live sports push

The release describes the two Monday Night Football games as additions to "the expanding roster of domestic and global live sports available on Disney+," and the Disney+ press site shows two earlier steps in 2026. On August 25 it announced college football Saturdays coming to Disney+ that fall, and on the same date a live ESPN and Red Bull event, "Max vs 100," set for September 16.

What the announcement lists for the ESPN app

The announcement separately lists the ESPN app's programming in the United States. Every Monday Night Football game and ESPN's Super Bowl programming remain available there.

For Super Bowl Sunday itself, the ESPN app carries more than the two game presentations. It has the ManningCast with Peyton and Eli on ESPN2, the rest of the Sunday studio programming, and coverage through the week leading up to the game. The announcement does not say whether Disney+ will also carry those alternate presentations or studio programmes.

The app also has viewing features the release spells out: multiview and synchronized two-screen viewing, short vertical video, a personalized SportsCenter For You, integrated game stats, ESPN Fantasy sports, betting odds and information from DraftKings, and sports merchandise. Those are open to anyone watching on the ESPN app on mobile and connected TV devices, whether they subscribe directly or through a pay TV package from certain providers.

Ad inventory and a limited-time bundle offer

ABC and ESPN sold out all commercial inventory for the telecast. Disney described it on its fiscal Q3 2026 earnings call in August as the earliest sellout by a network in Super Bowl history. Fifty-eight brands across 34 categories secured units, including nine first-time Super Bowl advertisers.

The October 7 ESPN release also listed a limited-time offer for the ESPN direct-to-consumer Unlimited plan with Disney+ and Hulu at 29.99 US dollars a month for the first 12 months. It gave no end date, so readers should check current terms before treating it as an available offer. This is a bundle price; U.S. Disney+ subscribers do not need that bundle to watch the announced Super Bowl stream.

Questions the release leaves open

The announcement does not say whether Disney+ will carry the ManningCast or another alternate presentation, does not publish the full list of 55-plus markets, does not name the second Monday Night Football game, and does not break the "all Disney+ subscribers" line down by plan tier.

It does settle the promotional plans around the game. ESPN will turn Santa Monica Beach into ESPN Beach from February 8, a week-long broadcast hub for ESPN and ABC with a free fan experience on the Santa Monica Pier, which Disney first announced at its Upfront presentation in May. The campaign around the game, called "We're Going," reworks the "I'm Going to Disney World" tradition, and its debut spot features more than 60 characters from Disney, Marvel, Star Wars and Pixar. Disney also released a Disney | Champion NFL collection, shown first at Fanatics Fest NYC with a Fan Draft featuring Tom Brady, Emmitt Smith, Rob Gronkowski and Fernando Mendoza.
