Marvel Television and Marvel Animation took the Empire Stage at New York Comic Con on Thursday, October 8, 2026, and dated a run of series. VisionQuest arrives first, on Disney+ on October 14. The announced schedule extends to the final Marvel Zombies chapter in 2029, and three of the titles carry only a year.

New York Comic Con ran from October 8 to October 11, and Marvel published the announcements the same day they were made.

What the October 8 panel put on the calendar

The studio's own recap of the panel lists VisionQuest, the third season of Daredevil: Born Again, three new Marvel Zombies events and a newly announced series called Zodiac. Brandon Davis moderated, and Marvel Comics editor-in-chief Stephen Wacker opened the panel with comics news before Brad Winderbaum took over the television slate.

VisionQuest premieres on October 14. The next dated title is the second season of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, which Marvel gives as January 13 without a year. Daredevil: Born Again and X-Men '97 both land in 2027, Zodiac and a second Marvel Zombies event in 2028, and the final Marvel Zombies chapter in 2029.

VisionQuest reaches Disney+ on October 14

Marvel dates the premiere to October 14 and says the series is on Disney+ only. Disney's own streaming press listing for October places it under Disney+ on Wednesday, October 14, alongside separate Hulu entries for that day. The same listing carries VisionQuest entries on Wednesday, October 21 and Wednesday, October 28, so the first three episodes at least arrive on consecutive weeks. That listing covers October only, and neither source publishes a total episode count.

Paul Bettany returns as Vision, who the panel description places in hiding while he consults the AI personas embedded in his programming. Those include EDITH, played by Emily Hampshire, and Ultron, played by James Spader. A bounty ends the arrangement and puts Vision on the run with Thomas Shepherd, played by Ruaridh Mollica, a boy who may be his son.

Terry Matalas is the showrunner. Bettany told the NYCC crowd that the series concludes the story that began with WandaVision and Agatha All Along, and he described the pitch as a story about fathers and sons with one robot and one human son. Matalas said the production was made with love "from the Marvel execs to our brilliant writing staff to everyone at Pinewood," naming the studio where it was filmed.

The panel closed with a surprise screening of the first episode for attendees. The public release date is still October 14.

A two-step timeline shows an October 8 panel preview followed by an October 14 public premiere.
Concept timeline: Marvel says NYCC attendees saw the first episode at the October 8 panel; Disney's official listing gives the public Disney+ premiere as October 14. The preview was not a public release.

Zodiac has less published about it than anything else on the list

Zodiac is the panel's only wholly new series, and what Marvel has put on the record is short: a title, a spy-thriller description, a 2028 Disney+ window and a shoot in London starting in spring 2027. Brad Winderbaum, Marvel's head of television, animation, comics and franchise, said casting would begin within a couple of weeks and declined to describe the plot, pointing the room to the title design instead. There is no cast, no episode count and no month in 2028.

Daredevil: Born Again ends in 2027 with the Defenders

The third season of Daredevil: Born Again is also its last, and Marvel dates it to 2027. Charlie Cox took the stage with Krysten Ritter and Finn Jones, who play Jessica Jones and Danny Rand and will appear in the new season.

Mike Colter, who plays Luke Cage, was not at the panel. Marvel's recap attributes his absence to a last-minute scheduling conflict and says the cast sent his regards, while the dedicated article states that he is slated to return in the season. Cox told the room that having the group together again felt like 2016, and added, "We wish Mike could be here!"

The panel showed a first look at new footage from the season, which follows Matt Murdock as he fights for Hell's Kitchen and for New York.

Zombies, X-Men '97 and Spider-Man fill out the years

Marvel Zombies returns as three two-part event series. Marvel Zombies: The Winter Soldier arrives for Halloween 2027, Marvel Zombies: The Fist of Khonshu follows in 2028, and Marvel Zombies: The Last Guardian concludes the story in 2029. Winderbaum would not name the Last Guardian, calling it "very, very exciting," and said the team is about halfway through animatics. He described the result as a blood-splattering good time that is also quite beautiful, and said he still cannot believe Disney+ lets them get away with it.

X-Men '97 gets a third season in 2027, with a fourth planned after it. The footage shown at the panel teased the return of the Brotherhood of Mutants and a wedding for Gambit and Rogue, according to Marvel's recap of what the room saw. Winderbaum called the third season incredible and said one of its episodes had him choked up while he described it.

The second season of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man debuts on Disney+ on January 13. Creator Jeff Trammell told the crowd that Peter Parker, voiced by Hudson Thames, faces larger threats than in the first season and gets help from a symbiote he described as inky black goo from space.

What the panel did not settle

No total episode count is published for any series on the list, including VisionQuest.

Two of the 2027 titles have only a year. Neither the recap nor the dedicated articles give a month or a day for Daredevil: Born Again season three or for X-Men '97 season three.

The Spider-Man date has no year attached in the recap, which gives it as January 13. Every other entry on the list is either a year on its own or a dated premiere, and the three Zombies events carry only their release windows.

Marvel's recap names Disney+ for VisionQuest, Zodiac and Spider-Man and describes the rest of the panel's lineup as coming soon, without naming a service.

Marvel also did not say whether the footage shown in the room, including the first VisionQuest episode and the Daredevil first look, will be published outside the convention.
