Angel Reese recorded 30 points and 16 rebounds as the Atlanta Dream beat the Golden State Valkyries 79-65 in Game 2 of the WNBA Finals on October 19. Atlanta earned the first Finals win in franchise history and tied the series at one game apiece, according to the WNBA’s recap.
The performance also set a Finals milestone. Reese became the youngest player in WNBA history to record at least 30 points and 15 rebounds in a Finals game, the league said. She added three assists and two blocks.
A separate Associated Press recap hosted by the WNBA says Reese was the third player to reach 30 points and 15 rebounds in a Finals game. Jonquel Jones did it for Connecticut in 2019, and Breanna Stewart for Seattle in 2020.
