Phasmophobia’s Crimson Eye event is running from October 8 through November 1, 2026. The event patch arrived on October 7, one day before the maps and reward track went live; the studio corrected the patch date in its event announcement. The event itself keeps the original October 8 start and November 1 end.

The event runs across eight locations

Kinetic Games lists 6 Tanglewood Drive, 42 Edgefield Road, Grafton Farmhouse, 13 Willow Street, Bleasdale Farmhouse, Point Hope, Camp Woodwind and Nell’s Diner. Point Hope is included only in Standard mode; Point Hope Restricted is excluded. Nell’s Diner and the reworked Tanglewood and Willow locations have the Crimson Eye decorations.

Investigations on the event locations earn points toward community and personal rewards. Players hunt Blood Moon totems and complete investigations and optional objectives. The official event post says Blood Moon weather makes investigations more difficult; it does not publish numerical modifiers, so check the in-game contract for current conditions and payout.

Two locations have visible reworks this year: Kinetic says 6 Tanglewood Drive and 13 Willow Street have been reworked and decorated, and Nell’s Diner joins the event-map rotation. That gives returning players a mix of familiar contracts and updated scenes, but the official post does not say that every event map received a full redesign.

A session toggle can keep event maps out

The October 7 patch added a Seasonal Event toggle. It lets players turn event maps on or off for their own session, and Kinetic says the setting is intended for Crimson Eye and future seasonal events. This is useful for groups that want to keep their usual map rotation while the event is running. Kinetic says points come from the event locations; the announcement does not say ordinary maps can earn the same event points.

The same update made two small fixes: the revive light now fades instead of flashing, and an Easter Egg reward should unlock correctly when a 0x multiplier is active. Kinetic also lists two known issues: lampposts outside 6 Tanglewood Drive may glow on Xbox and Steam, and the Truck map may show the Fusebox location on custom difficulty.

Rewards have separate dates

The event rewards include a seasonal tee, the Beholder ID Card and Badge set, and the Blood Moon charm. Players who already unlocked the upgradeable Trophy keep improving that Trophy through the event rather than earning a second one. Community and personal reward points come from completing the event activities; the announcement does not specify the point thresholds for each stage.

The blog separates the time-limited rewards into individual windows. The Twitch Drop awards the tee for two hours of viewing, Double XP and Rewards applies to investigations completed October 15–22, and Ghost Hunts 4 Hearts occupies the final week. The event’s main map period is longer than any of those bonus windows, so players do not need to finish every reward track by the Twitch Drop deadline.

The Crimson Eye Twitch Drop runs until 11:59 p.m. BST on October 15. Watch two hours of Phasmophobia streams with Drops enabled to earn the event tee. That campaign overlaps with the event’s first week, so it ends well before Crimson Eye itself does.

Double XP and Rewards run October 15–22. During that window, rewards from completed investigations are doubled. Ghost Hunts 4 Hearts returns October 26–November 1 with the American Heart Association. Kinetic says details for that fundraiser and its rewards will come closer to launch, so players should not assume a specific personal reward beyond what the studio has announced.

What to check before joining a contract

First confirm whether the session toggle includes event maps. Then choose one of the eight eligible locations and check the current contract multiplier and event objective.
